Responsible for

• Planning, engineering design, and construction of County roads, highways, bridges, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drainage, and flood control facilities
• Regulating flood control facilities
• Providing programs designed to reduce and prevent water pollution in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of the County
• Managing interlocal infrastructure and special improvement programs
• Evaluating hydrology, meteorology, and water quality
